Everett & Marlene Williams left a message on March 6, 2011:
I (Marlene) knew Griff since we were children as we did not live that far apart. I had missed him at St Davids this year and then saw in paper he had died. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Everett and Todd had did some work for Griff on the farm. Our prayers are with you all.
Rosemary Duwel left a message on March 5, 2011:
I worked with Griff's mother at the Presbyterian Synod office. She talked about Griff and his family often and lovingly. I saw the obituary in the Waukesha Freeman, and wanted to express my sympathy to the family.
Bill Swartz left a message on March 4, 2011:
I was four years younger than Griff and grew up about a mile and a half down the road. Griff always served as a great role model for the younger boys in the neighborhood and especially those involved in 4-H and FAA. I followed him to River Falls State College and pursued similar interests there. We stayed in touch in later years by having Griff and Jim Coutts come home to Waukesha every Christmas vacation and officiate games that I coached in our Waukesha North Girls Holiday Basketball Tournament. It was always fun getting together and sharing many fond memories from our younger days. Our family would like to extend our kind thoughts and sympathy to Griff's family on his passing. He will certainly be missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Griff will be fondly remembered by his childhood friends.

Lois, we met only a handful of times, years ago. I started working at Fox River Paper in 1975 and remember Griff well. I'll always remember how he was able to explain technical paper terms in English so I could understand. I learned a lot from him. My sympathies to you and your family with your loss.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

So many good years sharing a backyard and friendships. It was great to see Grif at Pam's service, never knowing it would be our last time. He shared my Welsh heritage, which we never explored but should have! My best to all the family - Heather and Harmony will be there representing me and many others that respected Grif. Jim Davis

It is with a heavy heart that I send these condolences. While I have only known Griff a short time, he was definitely one of those people that have influenced my life. His graciousness and generosity were his most endearing qualities. I only hope I can leave this earth with as much of an impact on those left behind as he did. Lois, be strong. You are in our prayers.

Lois I was so sad to hear of Griff's passing. You both were such dear neighbors in the Villa's. I will never forget when Giff let my nephews sit on the tractor for pictures, explaining all the parts to a boy who dreamed of being a farmer. Lois please know my prayers are with you & your family. You both always thanked me so much for the design of your house, I only put the design touch's in it wasn't a home until you & Griff moved in. God Bless Deb VanStraten
