Age 40, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at home. He was born October 23, 1961 to the late Clifford and Donna (Hoolihan) Liethen in Appleton. Gregg enjoyed boating and snomobiling. He had a big heart, a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Gregg was a member of the Steam Fitters Union, Local 400.
He is survived by a brother, Gary Liethen and his wife, Brandy and their three children, Jackie (her daughter, Madison), Tonya and Whitney; a sister, Cindy and her husband Ronald Marx and her son, Jebb Filz; a brother, Scott Liethen and his fiancé, Maylene and her children, Travis and Cory. Gregg will also be greatly missed by his friend, Karen Liethen, special friend, Jill Koerner and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2002 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton. Viewing and visitation will be Friday at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Saturday at the Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
