Of Appleton passed away at his home on April 3, 2003. He was born January 14, 1925 in New Holstein, Wisconsin, the son of the late Frank and Willetta Arnold Sternbeck. On August 2, 1948 he married Virginia Roehrig in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Gordy served his country in WW II, flying for the 15th Air Force. He worked in the Fox Valley as a meat cutter until his retirement. Gordy was also a member of the American Ex Prisoners of War. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Beth Sternbeck, Clear Water, FL, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawton Sternbeck and a sister, Phyllis Gaust.
Per Gordy and Ginny’s wishes there will be private family services held.
Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gordy and Ginny were married for almost 55 years and were very much in love and devoted to each other. They will remain united forever.
