PIRNER, GORDON F.

Gordon Pirner, of Appleton, age 95, died peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Oakridge Gardens. He was born January 1, 1913 in the Town of Lebanon, the son of the late Carl and Ida (Klitzke) Pirner. Gordon took over the family farm until 1964. On December 2, 1964 he married Mariena Schultz at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton. Gordon is a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching TV , reading and keeping up with the news and politics. The last year Gordon was at Oakridge Gardens and enjoyed his new “home”.

He is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mariena Pirner on August 22, 2003 and sister Gladys (Ervin) Boelter.

The funeral service for Gordon will be held at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME Tri-County Chapel with Rev. Ralph C. Waack officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
