GOLDIE RUTHERFORD LINDEKE

Age 100, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at Rennes Health Center in Appleton. Goldie was born on January 29, 1903, in Hatton, North Dakota, to the late Clinton and Mary (Mahanna) Rutherford. She was raised and educated in Stillwater, Minnesota. Goldie married Harold A. Lindeke; he preceded her in death in 1978. During her 40+ years in Eau Claire, Goldie raised her family and was an active volunteer at the First Congregational Church.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Lindeke, Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandson, William R. (Jeanine) Lindeke, Appleton; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Michael and Sara Lindeke; and Anne Lindeke, the former wife of Hal Lindeke. Goldie is further survived by special friends Ken and Sue Ripp, Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her son, Hal Lindeke; her three brothers, Roscoe, Doug and Bill; and her daughter-in-law, Jean Lindeke.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, February 27, 2003, at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, 310 Broadway Street, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with Rev. Mark Pirazzini officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Private funeral services will also be held in Appleton.
