Gladys Irene Klarner

February 20, 1925 — January 17, 2022

Gladys Irene Klarner passed quietly away January 17, 2022 from congestive heart failure.  She was born on Feb. 20, 1925 to Mabel (Behl) Wolff and Albert Wolff at her parents’ Black Creek farm. Gladys graduated from Seymour High School.    She was united in marriage to Herbert John Klarner on Oct. 6, 1945.  Gladys was a homemaker and enjoyed many related activities.  She was active in 4-H, her Homemakers Club, church activities including Women’s Guild with St. Johns UCC in Appleton and previously in Black Creek.  Gladys enjoyed interacting and watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they grew up.  She had a lot of faith and enjoyed family and friends calling and visiting.

She is survived by her children Kenneth Albert Klarner, Mary Ann (Klarner) Tellock and Jane (Dennis) Nagreen, Sister-in-law Rosella Laabs and brother-in-law Melvin (Nancy) Klarner. Grandchildren Michelle Tellock (special friend Ben Blanton), Jason Tellock, Derek (Anna) Nagreen and Brad (Kristine) Nagreen. Great-grandchildren Noah Nagreen, Adelaide Nagreen and Judah Nagreen. Also, James Tellock, father of Michelle and Jason.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert John Klarner (2012), sister Francis (Wolff/Tellock) Laudon and her niece, Sandra (Tellock) Wunderlich. She was recently preceded in death by Sister-in-law Marie DeKeyser.

A private service will be held at St. John’s UCC, Appleton, with a private burial taking place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. We thank all friends and family for your prayers, care and support;  in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Gladys’ name.

Thank you also to ThedaCare hospice for helping take care of her in her final days and to Dr. Gene Rigstad and the Heart Institute for all they have done for her over the years. A special thank you to Connie Tellock and John Krull, Clint DeKeyser and the many others who helped her out over the years and in her final months.
