Gertrude M. Patrick

Age 88, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 18, 2001. Gertrude was born near Hoffa Park on January 14, 1913, daughter of the late Stanley and Veronica (Jaskolski) Sobiesczyk. In the 1930’s, she married William Patrick; he preceded her in death in 1971. Gertrude volunteered countless hours for the Christian Clothes Closet and St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, and sewing. In her younger years, she was active with the Golden Agers.

Gertrude is survived by a daughter: Judy Collins of Kimberly; three sons: Bill (Carol) Patrick of Menasha; Richard “Pat” (Fran) Patrick of Appleton; Jim Patrick of Wisconsin Dells; twelve grandchildren: Jim (Beth) Reinert, Bob Patrick, B.J. Seehawer, Jenn Seehawer, Tony Collins, Traci (Louie) Kitterman, Kelly (Ken) Sattler, Tina (Mike) Pastorelli, Mark Patrick, Chris (Cary) Hanson, Don (Kay) Patrick, Sam (Cory) Severson; eleven great-grandchildren; and special friends Gloria Kraft, Sally Hayes, Pauline Bukowski, and LaVerne Rabideaux. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Carl, and a sister Sally Wollenhoffer.

The funeral liturgy for Gertrude will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, December 21, 2001 at HOLY NAME CATHOLIC CHURCH, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue in Kimberly with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the hour of the liturgy.
