Sorry to hear of your loss. As one of Marge's nieces, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Verkuilen during one of my visits to Wisconsin.
Nancy, Dennis and Jason Kilsdonk left a message on May 4, 2009:
Dear Verkuilen Family: We were saddened to learn of Gert's passing, especially since we just visited with her recently (sadly, it was at Heath VanHandel's funeral). She was as sharp as ever and knew our names immediately. My sister Judy certainly enjoyed a very special relationship with Gert. Since our son's Wedding is this weekend, and the rehearsal dinner is Thurs., we unfortunately cannot be at her services, but surely would like to be. Please know you will certainly be in our thoughts and prayers. May you all be continually blessed with many nice memories of Gert, a dear lady. Our Deepest Sympathy, The Kilsdonk Family Nancy, Dennis & Jason (Judy Trowbridge's sister Nancy)
