I am so sorry to read this. Your mother/wife and I were very good friends all those years ago. I remember getting a phone call at 1:00 AM in the middle of a snow storm. She wanted me to meet her at a 24-hr restaurant for a patty melt. We always ate patty melts together! She was such a wonderful friend and had a very warm heart. Please, girls, will one of you please contact me? I've lost track of all of you, and I don't want to do that! I can be reached at [email protected] or 602-413-5545.

I will always fondly remember your famliy as they grew up, all so nice and so so beautiful. Don, you must be very proud. Gerry was always gracious and generous with her time when we bumped into each other. You will have many wonderful memories of times gone by. Our family so enjoyed your renting the cottage next to ours. Love to you all.

Don and girls, It has been many years and many miles since East Marquette street but the memories are still wonderful. How lucky mom reconnected with Jerry last spring, 2011 - she thoroughly loved the afternoon they spent together - talking of the old days, their families and what is next. We send our love and prayers to all of you and smile whenever we think of Jerry. Billie Platt Dayton Ohio

Mrs. Bravick was a one-of-kind lady. I will miss her visits to my shop. If she had plans to stop by to drop off an artwork project or a roll of film, she would sometimes bring food. Sometimes it would be a sandwich, a donut from a bakery, a piece of cake or pie. Or wrapped caramels she had just picked up at a local candy store. I always knew where she had stopped because she would always share whatever it was she just picked up. Other times she would stop by for no other reason than to drop off a chocolate milk shake on a hot summer afternoon. Now each time I have a milk shake I will always think of her & her thoughtfulness. She always bragged about what her grandchildren were doing & the accomplishments of her daughters. She had a big heart. As an accomplished artist, she would want to share her artwork with family & friends with framed copies of her work, or just send one of her personal note cards. Jerry, you will be missed by many. Thanks for the time I had to know you.

Dear Don and Girls, We were so shocked and saddened to read about Jerry's passing in the newspaper today. I have particularly enjoyed re-connecting with Jerry and Georgianne the past few years, exchanging memories as we went out to lunch. My heart is heavy today, but I am comforted by the fact that Bob and Shirley are waiting to welcome Jerry with open arms. What a blessed reunion! We are thinking of all of you and your families...may wonderful memories of a great lady bring you much comfort and joy. Take care..
