Gerald Raymond Sawlsville, age 87, died Thursday May 7, 2020, at home in Kaukauna following a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Gerald “Jerry” was born November 17, 1932 in Mosinee, Wisconsin, son of the late Raymond and Bertha (Akey) Sawlsville. Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1956 and retired as Safety Director at Kobussen Buses in 1995.

He is survived by his wife: Kathleen “Kay” Sawlsville; daughters: Diane Gilbert (John) of California, Jaclynn Sawlsville of Appleton, Kerri Hutchison (Eric) of Oshkosh; and a son: Jamison Sawlsville (Lisa) of Kaukauna. His stepchildren are: Peggy Bowers (Tom) of Appleton, Chris Boreson of Hollandtown, Scott Boreson of Hollandtown and Sherry Boreson of Appleton, Michelle Schuh (Dan) of Kaukauna, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons: Mike Sawlsville and Jeff Sawlsville, a stepdaughter Vicki Tuma, stepdaughter-in-law Karen (Doll) Boreson, a brother Rodney Sawlsville, and a sister Lana Kaufman.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed the northwoods of Lakewood and Timberline Resort of Crivitz, spending time putzing in the yard, and outside fires with friends and family, as well as many great “ON THE ROAD AGAIN” memories in the big blue bus. He will forever be in the hearts and minds of his cherished family and wonderful friends.

The family would like to offer a special THANK YOU to everyone at ThedaCare At Home Hospice and the special angels at Cherry Meadows. We will never forget your kindness.

Due to the current safer at home order, funeral services will be held at a later date for family and friends.
