I have been looking up people who have impacted my life so I can thank them. I am sorry to say that I just found Dr. Petersen's obituary today. I spent a few years as a delivery room nurse at Appleton Memorial when Dr. Petersen was on the staff. He was a kind thoughtful person with the expertise and professionalism needed at that time. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience working with him. I moved away from Appleton in 1972 and have not seen him since then. May God give you His comfort and peace in this difficult time. I will always remember uncle Georges' wonderful smile and kind, kind heart. My mom and I had many wonderful visits with he and aunt Sally in Kenosha and in Appleton. His gentle manner was always so comforting and welcoming to us.

Marley (my dog) and I will miss you Dr. George. We enjoyed visiting with you (inside or outside) when we would visit my dad at Fox River. (Wally). You were always so nice to Marley. I know you are now playing with the dogs. Rest in Peace, Dr. George.

Dick shared "Opening Weekend" trips with George and still tells stories of their experiences such as the time the tent at Wolf River Campground collapsed from too much heavy snow...but they fished anyway, of course. I remember George telling my, during my ob-gyn visit, of tying a Royal Coachman or other flies in preparation for fishing. Thanks for the memories. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Joel, We were sorry to hear about George. He was a very nice man. I enjoyed being on the Red Cross Board in Appleton with him. And I remember him frequently walking Susie (weren't there several?) down River Drive. Our best to you, Gretchen and Ralph, Pat
