Dear Pam, Ken and Medema family, Our thoughts and prayers have been with you! May God sustain you with his measureless grace as you go through this loss of your father. What a neat man! My 2nd Dad through High School years! It meant so much to have a place where I was always welcome. What a treasure to have a Dad that honored God above all and made that very clear in his everyday life! To know that he is receving his reward of everlasting life in the arms of his faithful Savior is precious! May God bless you and strengthen you all! Blessings, Gayle and Dave Kroon

I would give you a hug if I was near. I am glad I got to meet your father a few times. I pray the service today was a celebration of your father and that you got to hear many wonderful memories of him. God Bless, JOYCE

Dear Evie, We are so sorry to hear of George's passing, but know he is rejoicing with his saviour, Jesus Christ. We enjoyed the time together being neighbors at Twin Palms in McAllen TX. I also enjoyed singing with George at the nursing homes there. He was a faithful servant and great will be his reward in Heaven. We are praying for you, for strength and peace that only God can give. He was a friendly and loving man.

Dear Lar, Where does one start when their heart is heavy and full of sorrow? Where does one start when their heart is also filled with joy and happiness knowing that their loved one is with the Lord? Dear special man...I choose to start with you! You have so much to be thankful for and the place to start is with the love and faith that your Dad and Mom instilled in you. You are who you are because of the deep faith, conviction and dedication your parents placed in you and your family. I love you for those same qualities and admire your strong belief and dedication to your family, to those you love and most of all to Jesus Christ. Although this is a difficult time you must hold strong knowing that your Dad is now with the Lord rejoicing and singing his praises! And as Wendy has said, there is now another "perfect angel". Another perfect angel beside your brother Rich and your Mom. Know that I love you with all my heart.

Dear Evie, Although I haven't been a member of this family for a long time both you and George welcomed me with open and loving arms. I can't tell you how very much that has meant to me. You are both such special and wonderful people. I'll always remember the first time George told me that he loved me. He gave me a big bear hug and whispered in my ear and gave me a little kiss on the cheek. How very sweet. And it means even more to me now than ever. Evie, I know this is a difficult time for you right now, but hold onto your faith and look to Him for inner strength and peace. You shared with me that you and George had just finished a Bible study; Psalm 23.... 1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. George now dwells in the house of the LORD and although it is not easy for those of us left behind we must rejoice and sing His praise for we too shall one day live in the the house of the Lord. God bless you Evie and know that I love you very much.

To all the Medema family, Our prayers go with you as you lay this dear one to rest. I so enjoyed it when George and Evie would visit our nursing home and Living Hope Church. They were always ready with a hug. He was a special man, always willing to give of himself for someone else. He will be deeply missed. Evie, our thoughts are with you in this time. May God fill the emptiness in your life. Our condolences to all of you. Hope to see you on Friday. Gretchen & Mike
