Age 76, died Monday, September 9, 2002 at home. George was born May 15, 1926 to the late Leo and Rose (Boudwin) Kluba in Hermansville, Michigan. He married Olive Miller on September 7, 1946 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha. She preceded him in death. George served in the U.S. Navy during WW II until his honorable discharge in 1946. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, bingo and playing cards with his grandchildren.

He is survived by five daughters, Sandra (John) Wicinske; Georgia Dryer; Paula (Gerald) Van Stippen; Genia (Brian) Kendall and Kim (Michael) Winnett; one son, Greg (Rosemary) Kluba; fourteen grandchildren, Shelley Wicinske, John Wicinske, Laura (Rico) Carrasco, Heather Dryer, Marissa Van Stippen, Gerald Van Stippen Jr., Monica Boggess, Cejae Boggess, Brittany Clappes, Shad Winnett, Kayla Winnett, Shawon Winnett, Lisa Davenport and Eric Davenport; six great grandchildren, Shayla Van Stippen, Jaymin Van Stippen, Erick Carrasco, Devin Boggess and Brodie Pues; two brothers, Bob (Joan) and Jim (Shirley); a sister, Rita and a sister in law and best friend, Maxine.

He was preceded in death by his wife Olive, his son Steven and a granddaughter, Jessica Jay Kluba-Van Stippen.

The funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton with Fr. Justin Werner officiating. Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday at the Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until the prayer service at 7:30 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial is being established in George’s name.

The family would like to thank Affinity Home Hospice especially Judy and also Dr. Reiss-Sagers and Dr. P. Barrett for all the care and support they gave George.
