Gary W. Van Hemelryk

Gary W. Van Hemelryk, age 69, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2010, at his home in Little Chute after a long battle with cancer. Gary was born on January 27, 1941, in Green Bay, the son of the late Lawrence and Theola (Oryall) Van Hemelryk. He graduated from Green Bay West High School, and worked for the Mirro Company before retiring. Gary will be remembered for his quirky approach to life, odd and endearing sense of humor and kind heart. He left an indelible mark on all the lives he touched and will be missed greatly.
Gary is survived by his children, Blair (Stacy Shea) Van Hemelryk, Appleton, and Heather (Terry) Phelan, Kaukauna; five grandchildren, Duane, Jonah, Emily, and Savanah Phelan, and Loic Shea-Van Hemelryk; his brother, Robert (Judy) Van Hemelryk, Green Bay; and a close friend, Jeff Loy, Wrightstown, WI.
A memorial visitation for Gary will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 26, 2010 at Fargo Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Oncology staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their care and support.
