Growing up next to the Christophersons was definitely an experience that changed my life. Not only did I find my best friend in Cherie, I also got the pleasure of being fully welcomed by her family. Mr. C used to terrify my sisters and I when we were young, but then when you experienced him with his family you could see he was a gentle giant. I always remembered how grateful my mom was when Mr. C would spontaneously snow blow our driveway and sidewalk for her. She was so thankful and we couldn't wait for her to go and give him the case of beer my mom picked up for him! It was little moments like that that made my childhood, and the Christophersons have been and will be our families' lifelong friends. I will definitely miss Mr. C and his big laugh, and the way his family would light up around him and verbally spar with each other. He will be truly, truly missed. All of my love and deepest sympathy to you all.

I had Mr. Christopherson for 9th grade science. He was a great teacher, sometimes gruff on the outside, but you could tell he was a teddy bear. I will always remember the debate we had in his class about whether or not Ross Perot was going to win the presidential election. The kids were all convinced he was going to win, and Mr. Christopherson said, "Not a chance!" He was right. :) I am so sorry for your loss and will be thinking of you during this difficult time.
