Gary J. Popp, age 53, son of the late Jerome and Harriet (Brauer) Popp, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2006. He was an amazing husband and wonderful father. He worked for Boldt Construction for 28 years. He had a passion for stock car racing and restoring old cars. Gary was always showing his great sense of humor through comic relief.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Christine; son, Brett (Zan) Popp of Lawrence, KS; daughters: Corey Popp of Phoenix, AZ and Andrea (Scott) Sheppard of Neenah; sister, Beverly (Bill) Tyriver; brother, Jerry (Clair) Popp; mother-in-law, Joyce Cate; sister-in-law, Connie (Mike) Worzala; brother-in-law, Richard (Susie) Cate; many nieces and nephews; special godson, John; and best friends, Daniel (Sharon) Kohl. He is preceded in death by his brother, Merle Popp; and his father-in-law, Richard Cate.

The family welcomes anyone wishing to celebrate Gary’s life on Thursday, July 13, 2006 from 4:45 p.m. until 8:57 p.m., at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 North Superior Street, Appleton.
