Gary J. Eklund

Gary J. Eklund, age 81, of Grand Chute, passed away at Theda Care Medical Center in New London on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Gary was born in Gillett on February 4, 1936, to the late Emil B. and Josephine (Baker) Eklund. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh. Gary enjoyed traveling, movies, was a Packer fan, attended many Super Bowls, was an avid news reader and loved animals. Survivors include his brother, Jay (LaVerne) Eklund, Green Bay, and Jay's twin sister, Jean Eklund, Dousman; his two daughters and grandson; and his God daughter Tamara (Jim) Guinn. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his brother, W. P. Buss and his sister, June Chomczyk.

Private funeral services will be held for Gary. Interment will be in Wanderer's Rest Cemetery in Gillett, Wisconsin. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com
