Gail Simmons, 59, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2010 at Cherry Meadows. Gail was born on December 8, 1950 to John and Marjorie (Peck) Klepp in Ripon. She married Edward Simmons on July 2, 1971 in Oshkosh. She worked for the YMCA of the Fox Cities for 28 years. Gail loved to bake and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church. Gail is survived by her husband, Edward Simmons, Appleton, two daughters; Stacy (Tom) Beno, Appleton, Amy (Jake) Dumke, DePere, a granddaughter, Emily Schraven, her mother Marjorie Klepp, 4 sisters; Sandy (Jim) Monroe, Wendy Klepp, Jackie (Greg) Steig, and Lisa (Todd) St. John, and a brother Michael (Liz) Klepp, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Gail was preceded in death by her father John Klepp.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2010 at 4:00 PM at New Hope Lutheran Church (1850 American Dr. Neenah) with Pastor Jeff Prewitt officiating. A Memorial gathering will be held at the Church immediately after the service. Memorials may be made to the Appleton YMCA Strong Kids Fund.
