Of Appleton, completed her journey to heaven on Saturday, March 22, 2003. She was born on January 2, 1909 in Home Township, Brown County, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Otto and Amelia Orth. Evelyn loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. She enjoyed knitting, embroidering and playing cards. Survivors include her daughters: Marian (Herbert) Grams, LaDonna (Floyd) Schwecke, and Linda (Dan) Gigstead; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Adeline (Bernard) Lange; two sisters-in-law: Alice Erickson and Rose Pohl. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; 4 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran Church (530 W Parkway BLVD) with Pastor Daniel Helwig officiating. Burial will be in New Ulm, MN. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday, from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
