Age 89, died Thursday May 17, 2001. She was born January 15, 1912 to the late Louie and Clara (Strobusch) Olds in Portage. She married her first husband, Ralph Staples in Junction City and after his death she married the late James Rose in Milwaukee.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Fred) Lecker and Nancy (Eugene) Eick; a step daughter, Judy (Tim) Burns; thirteen grandchildren, Vickie (Duane) Wendt, Sandy Geiger, Kathy (John) Peotter, Fred (Rhonda) Lecker, Judy (Neal) Fischer, Penny (Chris) Van Camp, Tim (Cheryl) Lecker, Rhonda Eick, Randy (Harriet) Eick, Ralph (Beth) Eick, Eugene Eick, Mark Burns and Jim Burns; twenty seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and a sister Mildred Brunner.

She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jeff and Gary Lecker and a sister, Myrtle Olds.

The Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Monday May 21, 2001 at OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH ELCA, 3009 North Meade Street with Pastor Dennis E. Ellisen officiating. Viewing and visitation will be Monday at CHURCH from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
