Ethel A. Walbrun

Ethel A. Walbrun, age 78, of Appleton, passed away on March 12, 2021 at a local hospital. Ethel was born May 18, 1942 to Clarence and Marie (Van Den Boogart) Kohl in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was a 1960 graduate of Appleton High School. On September 9, 1961 she married Roger Walbrun in Appleton and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2014.

Family was everything to Ethel. Raising her family was her joy and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to play cards and make trips to some of the area casinos. She also loved Friday fish fry’s, and Saturday lunch and shopping with daughters and other family. In her younger years Ethel and Roger loved to go dancing as well.

She will be sadly missed by her children Corrine (Greg) Dahlk, Scott (Kim) Walbrun, Chris (Dan) Hearden and Brad (Alana) Walbrun; her grandchildren, Drew, Michelle, Troy, Jena, Matthew and Joe; Zach and Luke; Morgan and Sam; Stephen, Ben and Caroline; her great grandchildren, Vincent; Dante and Gabe; Lena and Caine; Bennett, siblings Jerry (Linda) Kohl, Bill (Rosie) Kohl, Bob (Sue) Kohl, Patti (Patrick) Duffy, Mark Kohl, and Kurt (Debbie) Kohl and brother-in-law Gene Lamers as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger, one brother Allan Kohl and two sisters, Irene Lamers and Janice Kohl.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2331 East Lourdes Avenue in Appleton with the Rev. Joe Dorner officiating. There will be a visitation at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00am to 11:00am. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery of Appleton at a later date.
