Age 97, died Saturday evening, June 9, 2001, at Colony Oaks Care Center. She was born May 28, 1904 to the late William and Mary (Harp) Arnold, in Appleton Creek, Wisconsin. Esther had been an area resident all of her life and had been employed by Wisconsin Telephone Company for 39 years retiring in 1969. She was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church, a member of AARP and the Wisconsin Telephone Company Pioneers.

She is survived by a very dear friend, Marie Nachreiner, Kimberly; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Ferdinand, Alfred, Harry and Wilbur Arnold, and a sister , Caroline Gustin.

Funeral services for Esther will be held at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 912 North Oneida Street, at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 12, 2001, with Reverend Nathan Gauerke officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am Tuesday, in the Gammlin Chapel, until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established for Zion Lutheran Church.
