FRIES, ERIN L.

Erin Fries, age 16, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at home on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 25, 1995 in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Michael and Julie (Robinson) Fries. Erin was a junior at Kaukauna High School. She enjoyed scrapbooking, music, art and drawing. Erin loved spending time with family and friends. Part of her everyday life included Facebook and texting. Erin loved animals, including her two dogs, Petey and Gizmo, who were always there to keep her company.

Erin is survived by her mother: Julie Fries, Kaukauna; father: Mike Fries, Stevens Point; brothers: Matt and Ryan Fries, Kaukauna; grandparents: Gary and Shirley Fries, Wisconsin Rapids and Bruce and Candy Robinson, Silver Cliff; aunts and uncles: Jeff (Teresa) Robinson, Little Chute; Jackie (Doug) Sprangers, Combined Locks; Jenny Robinson, Little Chute; Janis (Nick) Johnson, Little Chute; Scott (Michelle) Fries, Eden Prairie, Minnesota; Sonia (Paul) Egbert, Sheboygan and Sara (Pete) Esser, DePere. She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and many friends. Erin was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lorraine Robinson.

The funeral liturgy for Erin will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 12, 2012 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL, ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W. Seventh Street, Kaukauna. Fr. Jerry Pastors will be officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. A vigil service will be held Sunday at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ronald McDonald House are appreciated.
