Age 20, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at his home. Eric was born on November 8, 1980, son of Richard and Cynthia ( Dryja) Kollath. He enjoyed reading and camping. Eric loved to spend time with his friends and family. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Cynthia; his sister, Kelly Kollath and significant other Ike, Appleton; grandparents, Harold (Elvera) Dryja, Krakow, WI and Pearl Kollath; three aunts, Barbara (Jim) Huss; Carolyn Schultz; Connie Dryja, two uncles, Jim (Judy) Dryja; Jeff (Kimberly) Dryja; and five cousins, Wendy, Stacy, Wyatt, Parker and Garrett. Further survived by other family members, longtime friends; Ted Krueger, Paul Gusse, Stephanie Day, Randy Feavel and Scott Vanheuklon, and many other close friends. Eric’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, with Father Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, February 2 from 4 until 7 p.m., and again at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A Prayer Service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy, a friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. As yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much; good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
