I graduated from West High School in 1981, and we were indeed privileged to have Mr. Hoks as our principal. I learned some valuable lessons from him. I am sorry for the loss you are suffering from his passing. He will be remembered by many.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Emmett Hoks.

Mr. Hoks retired before I graduated and we were asked at that time to share our favorite memory of him. I honestly couldn't think of just one. From the beginning of the day through announcements, to seeing him in the hallways during passing time, to having him come to countless sporting events, it seemed like he was always there. Mr. Hoks was a great role model and a quality human being. Please know that he will be missed by many of his former students.

With Sympathy,
