I am sooooo going to miss Mr. Hoks...My favorite Principal and a great great role model for me and many other former West students. Mr. Hoks was a wonderful, kind-hearted man who has touched many lives throughout his lifetime. I feel very fortunate that he was in my life!! I am so glad I was able to see him last Fall and met his incredible wife, Elinor!! Mr. Hoks will truly be missed.

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Emmett Hoks.
Mr. Hoks retired before I graduated and we were asked at that time to share our favorite memory of him. I honestly couldn't think of just one. From the beginning of the day through announcements, to seeing him in the hallways during passing time, to having him come to countless sporting events, it seemed like he was always there. Mr. Hoks was a great role model and a quality human being. Please know that he will be missed by many of his former students.
