Emma was the most wonderful, caring, helful, and loving lady that I have ever known. She taught me so much-gardening,flowers,cooking, and life lessons. I especially remember when my daughter cut her foot and we had to rush her to the emergency room. Emma held her in the car with a cloth on her foot and tried to keep us all calm while Christi was going into shock. I can never thank her enough for all she has done and taught me (and her GREAT lemon meringue pies). I am going to miss her and I am thinking of the family and sending my prayers. To Nancy-you have been such a wonderful caregiver to Emma. I know she appreciated everything you have done for her and especially during the last 19 months. I love you Emma and hope you are feeling better in Heaven.

Kari,Peter,&Christi just loved your Mom. I met her a few times and could see why. And as I recall--she made great pies! Joy Madson (Kari Reinertson's mom)
Christi Reinertson left a message on May 20, 2010:
Emma was one of the nicest people I knew. She was my neighbor growing up and whenever I needed anything I knew I could come to her. I have memories of being home alone when I would hear a noise, so I would call her asking if she could come over to make sure no one was breaking in. She would always come right away. She always made our family Lemon Meringue Pie-the best Pie I've ever had. She would also play the organ for me or just sit with me and talk. She was a caring soul who will be deeply missed.
