Helen Schroeder (Meyers)
Age 91
of Appleton, died Feb. 29, 2004 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born Feb.15, 1913 in Oconto, Wisconsin. to the late Herman and Helene Meyer. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The Green Bay Packers, Badger sports and playing cards were some of her favorite pastimes.
Helen was a pioneer in innovative heart surgery in 1979, when she underwent triple by-pass and valve replacement procedures.
Helen is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 63 years Marvin; three children: Susan, Appleton; Tom and wife Chris, Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Mark and wife Wanda, Neenah; grandchildren Steve Schroeder, Waterford, Mi., Jill Brillhart and husband Jeff, Wausau; Paul Johnson, Madison; great granddaughter, Neleh Brillhart; and brother-in-law, Jan Sedivy, Neenah.
Helen is preceded in death by her brother Walter, and sisters; Evelyn, Ruth and Pauline.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2004 from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
