Jirikowic, Elizabeth D.

Elizabeth D. (Betty) Jirikowic, 87, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2010 at the Parkside Care Center where she has been a resident for two months. She was born September 3, 1922 in Wrightstown to Martin (Mike) and Anna (Baeten) Liebergen. She married Wesley (Bud) Jirikowic in Shawano on February 20, 1939. Together they owned and operated Jirikowic's Bar in Kaukauna for 35 years. After her retirement, Betty enjoyed spending time with her family. They were the most important thing in her life. She also enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, knitting dish cloths for everyone, going out to eat and an occasional trip to the cottage.

Betty is survived by her children: Karen (Nyles) Priest, William (Carol) Jirikowic, Ron (Eunice) Jirikowic, Carolyn (Leon) Biesterveld, Connie (Dan) McMorrow and daughter-in-law, Judy Jirikowic. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Sarah Wissing, Amy Huber, Tim Jirikowic, Jeff Jirikowic, Glenn Priest, Wendy Weimer, Karla Woltman, Mike Jirikowic, Lisa Arent, Kelly Effa, Brian Biesterveld, Jenny McMorrow, Kevin McMorrow and Katie McMorrow and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, son, John (Jack) and brother and sisters: Norbert (Del) Liebergen, Lucille (Norman) Lipske Weglin and Hilaria (Earl) Lipske; in-laws: Blanche (The Rev. Al) Klumb, Alice (Bud) Mlada, Dolly (Lother) Kemp and Ed (Blanche) Jirikowic.

The funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 510 Sullivan Avenue, Kaukauna, with the Pastor Melinda Feller officiating. Friends may call at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
