Elizabeth "Betty" Biese

Elizabeth “Betty” Biese, age 90 died peacefully at her home after a short illness on December 9, 2015.

Betty was born in Kimberly on January 26, 1925, Daughter of Joseph and Anna Thein. On July 9, 1946 she married Gene in Kimberly and had 54 years together prior to his death in January, 2000. They had 13 children, 12 unplanned who were raised with love, support and laughter. Betty loved her children but loved her grandchildren more, who will miss her stories, laughter and love. What Betty cherished most in her last years was holding her new great-grand babies. Nothing made her happier.

She is survived by seven sons: Tom (Terri) Biese, Menasha; Jim (Kathy) Biese, Little Chute; Peter (Sue) Biese, Menasha; John (Nancy) Biese, Stephenville, Gene Jr. (Shar) Kaukauna; Bill (Jinny) Biese, Greensboro, NC; Dan (Sara) Biese, Kaukauna; five daughters: Sue (Dick) Paveletzke, Minocqua, WI, Anita Biese, Green Bay; Mary (Randy) Cottrell, Appleton; Peggy (Dave) Wittmann, Kaukauna; Anne (Brian) Kienert, Oshkosh.

29 grandchildren: Troy(Jill), Tanya(Scott), Toni Jo(Matt), Trena(Dave), Amy(Kreg), Wade, Ben, Alli, Sarah, Adam, Anne(Marques), Joe(Abby), Jon(Trish), Megan(Corey), Craig, Erik(Jackie), Ryan(Erin), Jessi(Karl), Mike, Tim, Amanda(Chase), Zach, BreEnna(Bill), Kayla, Nathan, John, Beth, Danielle and Stephanie(Jesse).

Betty is further survived by 2 sisters, Marie VanRossum, Thelma Polman and sister -in-law Rosemary Thein. Betty is also survived by Genes' brothers and sisters: Paul (Carol) Biese, Dan Biese, JoAnn Buechler, Dee (Dick) Gerrits; Pat (Burt) McIntyre; Donna (Lance) Goetzman, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and special friends Goldie and Lynn.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, son, Donny; parents, brothers: Larry Thein, Jack Thein and Bill Thein, sisters Eleanore Schriber, Margaret Handler, June VanderVelden, brothers-in-law; Paul VanRossum, and Joe Polman, Genes' siblings; Anita Biese, Rich Biese, Mary Lee (Erv) Rosenow, Gene Buechler and Rita Biese.

The funeral liturgy for Betty will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St. with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Fargo Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass at church.
