Larry, Please you have my deepest and heartfelt sympathy. When I picked up the paper Tuesday which I normally do not read but when I read about Betty I was a basket case the rest of the night. I will always remember her with either a smile on her face or in the tone of her voice. I always enjoyed talking to her especially when I would see her at the Americano's Flag Day Show @ Calder Stadium. Then when Pat took me to my first Xmas Show at Xavier it was always a joy to see her perform. I know you, Lynn and Ted are going to miss her dearly as I will have an empty spot in my heart for her also. I unfortunately can not make it to the church on Monday as I have a prior committment to be in MN. When things settle down and if you want to give me a call to get together so that we can shed a tear together and reminisce please do so. You and the kids will be in my thoughts and prayers this next week. Take care and keep the faith. Your bud- Bob

This was sent to all the people that participated in the Follies. The response was overwhelming that we have all lost a dear and wonderful perosn in our lives. God Bless you all. Dearest Follies Family It is with great sadness that I write to let you know that Betty Lichterman, a fellow Follies family member, passed away on Sunday. For those of you that knew Betty, she filled the room with laughter and joy. She always had a kind word to say to everyone and could always brighten your day with a friendly smile. Betty loved everything about the Follies and hung on with great hope that she would one day be able to join us all on stage again. Her daughter Lynn carried on the tradition as she was in the Mama Mia number. We ALL become family during those 3 weeks of Follies Camp. We think of each other with great fondness and many a chuckle. We all leave with side cramps from laughing so hard, body aches from doing things we aren’t use to, exhausted from the late nights and of course posing our own pandemic on the community. Yet we all can’t wait to do it again!! As we know life is too short for many, but we are all blessed to have had so much fun together for those three weeks. I am truly grateful that I had a chance to meet Betty through the Follies and I am grateful that I had a chance to meet all of you. You have all touched my live and I know that Betty felt the same way. I think we all feel that way. My feelings are that the good Lord must have needed Betty, who could be a friend to all and do it with laughter in her heart. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I was fortunate to meet Betty when ThedaCare had their first Follies. (We both participated) Betty could light up a room just by entering. Her smile, her sense of humor and her love of life made her one of those people you always looked forward to seeing. She touched so many lives and brought joy to all of us. Oh,how she will be missed. My deepest sympathy to her family. With great sadness, Janis Ackerman
