To Daryl, Michelle, Jennifer, & family, This is Gayle (Rissue) Hogan's daughter. I heard about Betsy's passing from my grandma Ollie. I just wanted to leave a note to say how sad and shocked I was to hear the news. I'm very sorry to hear of her passing. It's very hard to find the right words in a time like this. As you know, we lost my mom many years ago, and my dad passed away very unexpectedly last year, so I can relate to the sadness you must be feeling. I only met Betsy a few times, but she always seemed very nice and she usually had a smile on her face.

Daryl, Shelly and Jenny... How odd that just a couple of weeks ago, I ran into this woman sitting at a machine at Mole Lake. I bent over, looked her in the eyes and said BETSY SIJAK?? Trude Jacobs? We hugged and caught up on the last 20 yrs.. felt like I had talked with her every day. Betsy was a very special woman. Thank you for sharing her with the world! She will be sadly missed.. by ALL. There is no greater hurt than loosing your mother! Prayers and Thoughts are with all of you! If there is anything I can do please let me know.

Mr. Sijak, Shelly and Jennifer, I just heard the news, I am so very sorry for your loss. I have the fondest memories of hanging out at your house so many years ago. Your mom was the best! She loved the heck out of you girls and I loved to see how she was with your Dad (salmon patties!), they were so much fun to be around. Its been way too long since I have seen you all, but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. She touched my life (my "surrogate mom", as she used to say) in so many ways, I am so grateful for that. What a wonderful lady! With love, Cath

Michelle, I was so sad when I heard about your mom. What a great loss for all who knew her. Some of my fondest memories where when you and I were getting ready to go out for the night and Bets was in the kitchen dancing and singing her Tina Turner songs. She always had such a great personality and could light up a room with her beautiful smile. She had a way of making you just feel happy when you were around her. I am blessed to have been able to spend time with you and your family. My heartfelt sympathy to you all. Be strong and know we love you all and are here for you.

Dear Daryl, Michelle and Jennifer, Betsy was my very best friend from the time we were four years old growing up on Henry Street in Kewaunee. I have so many wonderful memories of our adventures together especially our high school years when we thought we knew everything. Even though we haven't see each other for a long time, we always exchanged long Christmas letters and we were able to catch up on each others lives. I will always consider her my best friend and will miss her so much. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers. Jean (Pelisek) Schultz

Dear Sijack's, I am so sorry for your big loss. Last night I walked by your old house on Lourdes and started to wonder how things were going with Betsy. I giggled to myself how Besty and I used to laugh at people and the silly things they did while working in the communications center at the Shf.Dept. I will cherish my memories of her and our conversations we had when running into her while she was out walking the dog. She was a great lady.
