Age 83, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2001 at her home. She was born on August 4, 1918 in Chilton, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Roland and Adeline (Bechlem) Freund. In 1939 she married Dr. Elmer G. Pfeffer. He preceded her in death in 1977. Elinore is a longtime member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, was a member of the YMCA, the YMCA Garden Club, the Appleton Paper Valley Garden Club, and was active as a flower judge.
Elinore is survived by her children David Pfeffer of Fond du Lac, Judi (Timothy) McKeon of Oshkosh, Don (Carol) Pfeffer of Sugar Grove, Illinois, Tom Pfeffer of Boyd, Wisconsin, Susie (Steve) Schrader of Fort Collins, Colorado, Gary Pfeffer of San Diego, California, and Christina Pfeffer of Appleton, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son John Pfeffer and her brother Norman Freund.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. A memorial fund is being established for Thedacare at Home and may be directed to Wichmann Funeral Home at the address below.
