Eleanor E. Gregory

Age 82, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2003 at the Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Menasha on June 14, 1920, daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Messman) Daniels. On September 29, 1943 she married Harvey G. Gregory; he preceded her in death on July 17, 1986. Many will remember Eleanor as a longtime and faithful member of the Women’s Relief Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchidren.

She is survived by her children: Betty Paasch of Marinette; Beverly (Charlie) Mundt of Appleton; Harvey (Diane) Gregory of Menasha; John Gregory of Appleton; Donald (Mary) Ann Gregory of Bear Creek; George (Diana) Gregory of Oshkosh; and Mary (Mike) Collar of New London; eight grandchildren: Elizabeth (Rand) Whillock of St. Paul, MN; Brenda (Jamie) Kelly of Menasha; Jamie Gregory of Menasha; Tom (Stacy) Gregory of Oshkosh; Jacky (Kirk) Boettcher of Neenah; Jennifer (Jack Larson) Collar of New London; Adam Collar of New London and his special friend Amanda Kopitski; Steven Collar of New London; seven great-grandchildren; a sister: Frieda Wolford of Appleton; a brother: Darwin Daniels of Appleton; a brother-in-law: Francis Gregory of Alabama; sisters-in-law: Florence Gregory of Green Bay and Dorothy Daniels of Appleton. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law Jack Paasch, sisters Lucille Vandouers and Phyllis Ermers; brothers Charles Daniels and Daniel Daniels; a sister-in-law Francie Gregory; and a brother-in-law Ernest Wolford.

The funeral services for Eleanor will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Rademaker officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 – 8 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of the services.
