Eleanor, age 78, formerly of Portland, OR and Phoenix, AZ, died peacefully Thursday morning July 24, 2003, at Colony Oaks Care Center. Eleanor was born February 18, 1925, to the late Grant and Margaret (Clasper) Hill in Portland, OR. Eleanor attended the University of Oregon, majoring in Interior Decorating. She married George Becker, December 11, 1943. George was killed in action in 1944. Eleanor married Howard Edward Taylor, February 14, 1946. Howard preceded her in death January 24, 2000. On March 30, 2003, Norman Giselman and Eleanor exchanged vows. Norman was a childhood and longtime friend of the family. They were members of Calvary Chapel, in Appleton. Eleanor is survived by Norman; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Ron Nitke, Appleton; two brothers, Ralph Hill, Portland, OR; Kenneth Hill, OR; eight grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Peterson; Kenneth (Jennie) Peterson; Audry (Rob) Clark; Kent (Angela) Taylor; Jamie (Tim) Francis; Ronald, Jr. (Anna) Nitke; Thomas (Rebecca) Nitke; Hollie Nitke, several great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Sylvia Hill. Her son, James Taylor, and her brother, Richard Hill, preceded her in death. A private memorial service will be held at the family’s home.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the Affinity Network physicians, especially Dr. Douglas Grant and the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital and Colony Oaks Care Center for their caring and kindness during her last days.
