Elaine Mae Faulks

May 5, 1932 — December 18, 2020

Elaine Mae Faulks, age 88, was born on May 5th, 1932 to the late Anthony and Cecile (Windy) Routheau. She passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at home in Appleton after a long battle with leukemia. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, of 38 years; her brother, Bernard Routheau; and her sister Clarice Christopherson. She is survived by two children, Ray (Monica) Kottke, and Marcia (John) Bartos; one brother-in-law, Wayne Christopherson; one sister-in-law, Kathleen Albritton (Pete); 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Elaine started her working career with the Oconto School System. Later, she taught in the Waupaca School System; worked at the Veteran’s Home in King as a Practical Nurse; Plexus Electronics; Walmart; and retired after working at the St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. After retirement, Elaine loved doing jigsaw puzzles and craftwork and giving to others. She and Larry enjoyed the birds outside their windows. Elaine would paint the birdhouses Larry made and gift to others.  She also loved to be in her kitchen making desserts and various flavored breads to share with neighbors and relatives. Over the years she collected Green Bay Packer and Brett Favre articles and put them in binders.  After Brett retired, she decided to send them to him and by doing so, she was awarded a Packer No. 4 jersey, autographed with a “Thank You, Elaine”, signed by Brett Favre. She loved her Packers and remained a fan until she passed.
