LAUX, ELAINE A. (nee BESSETTE)

Elaine A. Laux, age 87, of Appleton, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born on August 4, 1923 in Bear Creek, the daughter of William and Agnes (Fenton) Bessette. On February 13, 1947, Elaine married Richard Laux at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall. Elaine enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, making jewelry, and caring for others.

She is survived by her sons: Wayne (Beverly) Laux, Marion and Robert (Kathleen) Laux, New London; daughter-in-law: Janine Laux, Leopolis; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brothers: Joseph Bessette, Sheboygan and Arthur Bessette, Clintonville; sister: Agnes Bessette, Hot Springs, Arkansas. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Laux and son, Bruce Laux.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at ST. ROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, CLINTONVILLE. In addition, a memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, at the New London Kingdom Hall. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. A special thanks to the staff at Saint Joseph Residence, New London for their care.
