Eileen Beachkofski

Eileen (O’Neill) Beachkofski, of Menasha, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, February 1, 2015. Eileen was born in 1921 in Appleton, WI, the daughter of the late Matthew and Cecilia (Gibbons) O’Neill.
She was a 1936 graduate of Appleton High School. On May 17, 1947 she was married to Robert Beachkofski at St. Mary Catholic Church in Appleton.
Eileen worked at Kimberly-Clark, H. C. Prange’s and Menasha Employees Credit Union. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Menasha, Menasha Lady Elks and Appleton Women’s Club. She enjoyed dancing and socializing at the Menasha Elks Club, playing cards, camping, traveling America, winter vacationing in Gulf Shores, Alabama and celebrating her Irish heritage. She loved to talk and reminisce with anyone she met.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert; their daughters: Ellen Holzschuh, Minneapolis, MN; Clare Beachkofski, Fox Point; Patricia (Daniel) Griedl, Appleton; and their son, William (Yukie Konno) Beachkofski, Menasha; grandchildren: Adam and Christopher Holzschuh and Erin and Nikko Beachkofski; sisters: Amy Weiss and Katie Howman; sisters-in-law: Joanne O’Neil and Vivian O’Neill and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Robert O’Neil and Roy O’Neill; brothers-in-law: Richard Howman and Clem Weiss; and son-in-law, Herb Holzschuh.
Funeral services for Eileen will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 12 noon at the Wichmann Funeral Home-Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee Street in Menasha, with Deacon Don Schultz officiating. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:30 AM until the hour of the funeral service. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery, Menasha.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or to a memorial that will be established in Eileen’s name.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of St Elizabeth’s Hospital 3rd floor for their compassionate care of Eileen.
