Eileen Glinski

Eileen Glinski, age 92, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born on January 31, 1921, in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Edward and Hannah (Klassen) Emmer. On August 5, 1947, Eileen married Harold Glinski at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. Her schooling included Sacred Heart Catholic Grace School in Sherwood, Hilbert High School, and Bowlby Business College in Appleton. Eileen was a secretary at South Kaukauna Dairy Company in Kaukauna, Golden State Company in Appleton, Rollin Mabie, C.P.A. in Stevens Point, and the Veterans Administration in Stevens Point and Wausau. Her employment career as a legal secretary was with Di Renzio & Bomier Attorneys in Neenah, John Esler Attorney in Kaukauna, and later for Attorney Donald Green in Kaukauna.

Eileen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood throughout her childhood, and Harold and she farmed in that community for eleven years. Since 1959, she was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Kaukauna. Eileen loved sewing, knitting, crocheting for herself, her home, children, grandchildren, and charities. She also loved cooking, baking, reading, and taking courses at U.W. Fox Valley. Eileen had an intense interest in the news, politics, and really anything that was “learning”.

Eileen is survived by her husband: Harold Glinski; children: James (Sandra) Glinski, Greenbrier, Arkansas; Thomas (Kathy) Glinski, New London; and Susan (Karl) Jacob, Midland, Michigan; eight grandchildren: Brian Kalz, Chicago, Illinois; Robert (La Jean) Kalz, California; Jeffrey (Jen) Kalz, Appleton; Christopher (Crystal) Kalz, Conway, Arkansas; James (Stacy) Glinski, Jr., Damascus, Arkansas; Geoffrey (Arielle) Johns, Green Bay; Derek Jacob and Emma Jacob of Midland, Michigan; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald (Alice) Emmer, Appleton. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, and a great-grandson, David Kalz.

The funeral liturgy for Eileen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Mary Church, 119 W. Seventh Street in Kaukauna. Father Jerry Pastors will be officiating. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Sherwood. A time of visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Online condolences can be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
