WEISS, EDWARD D.

Edward D. Weiss, age 95, of Hilbert, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2011. He was born on January 30, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Christine A. Weiss. Ed worked at WD Allen Co. in Chicago for many years followed by an award winning career with Pitney Bowes sales force. He spent over 50 years as a member of the Boy Scout program mentoring many young scouts. Ed served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII and was a past member of Appleton Elks Lodge, American Legion and was a charter member of Paper Valley Breakaway RV Club. He was married to Lucille “Sally” Weiss who preceded him in death.

Edward is survived by his sons: Donald (Nancee) Weiss, Ocean Shores, Washington and Ralph (Judy) Weiss, Sherwood; daughter: Bonita (Ron) Beduhn, Poygan; two grandsons: Scott (Lacey) Beduhn and Todd (Stacy) Beduhn; three great grandchildren and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Kurt Weiss, a grandson, preceded him in death.

A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Memorials to the Boy Scouts and Heartland Hospice are appreciated.
