Jonathan Foster left a message on December 6, 2010:
I was able to meet and visit with Doc in early November as part of a follow up from the Masonic lodge. It was a good visit and we were able to hear a few stories in response to our questions. He seemed pleased that we visited that day. He was our oldest and most senior member of the Lodge at the time of his passing. My sympathies for his family. Jonathan Foster, Waverly Lodge 51

I was saddened to hear of Doc's passing. However, I have such wonderful memories of Doc (and of him and Helen together). I always enjoyed going with my parents, Lynn and Jim, and Grandma Maxine over to their Appleton house to see their garden or the fancy chair that went upsatairs. I cherish the times I would sit and listen to Doc's stories at family gatherings. They always seemed to make me feel good or teach me a lesson of some sort. He will be greatly missed here but welcomed into heaven with open arms.

My Uncle Doc always had a twinkle in his eye. He was so positive and enjoyed life to its fullest. I loved visiting Doc at his home on Seymour St. and getting a garden tour. He was so proud of his raspberries! I, too, have many additional fond memories of his Lake Winnebago home. There were many good times sitting around the lake eating and talking. Doc had a long and wonderful life.

Doc will be fondly remembered for all the good times he provided us.
Mark & Melinda Munson left a message on December 4, 2010:
I have fond memories of my Uncle Doc. My first memories are all the fun times we had at his place on Lake Winnebago. As we got older we would go on fishing and hunting trips up north and always had a great time. Doc turned me on to fried potatoes with onions and I still have them on a regular basis. Doc was always uplifting and fun to be around. I wil miss him dearly.
