LANGENHUIZEN, DOROTHY J.

Dorothy Langenhuizen, of Appleton, age 80, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Cherry Meadows. She was born on June 6, 1928 in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Hooyman) Friebel. Dorothy married Harry Langenhuizen on November 29, 1947 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Kimberly.

She is survived by her loving husband: Harry Langenhuizen, Appleton; 7 children: Mary (Jay) Close, New London; Jerry (Diana) Langenhuizen, Larsen; Richard (Susie) Langenhuizen, Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Michael (Brenda) Langenhuizen, Appleton; Kevin (Shirley) Langenhuizen, Menasha; Allen (Julia) Langenhuizen, Darboy and Chris (Deb) Langenhuizen, Green Bay; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Ilamae (George) Langenhuizen, Kimberly and Margaret (Jim) Greely, Crandon; 2 brothers: Richard Friebel, Fremont and Romy Friebel, Kaukauna. Dorothy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law: Sylvia and Karen Friebel; 3 brothers-in-law and 5 sisters-in-law.

The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH – KIMBERLY, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue. Father David Beaudry will be officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. The visitation will be held on Tuesday at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home from 4:00 – 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm and again at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Community Hospice Foundation.
