Very sorry to hear that Doris passed away. I was the band teacher at Janssen School when she was the secretary. She was very kind and helpful to me.

Doris Hinze was a great aunt and fine friend. I will especially miss her thoughtful letters, carefully written in an increasingly shaky hand over the years. It gave her penmanship a very curly quality that must have taken her a long time to perform, making those notes and cards all the sweeter.

As teachers at Janssen School we remember Doris fondly. She always was so patient with the staff and little ones. There was never a rush ..she took the time to meet everyone's request or need. What a sweet lady who came every day with a smile and dressed so neatly to greet all. She was a dear school secretary !What a long and fruitful life she lived. Our sympathy to her family.

I met Doris 26 years ago when I was hired by the Kimberly School District to teach at Jansen School. Doris was a peach, always so helpful and kind. She made the school office a happy place with her smile and great sense of humor. God bless her family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Carol Lenz left a message on January 17, 2011:
Doris was the heart of Janssen School for many years. Her gentle, caring manner was much appreciated by students and staff. Her attention to detail was impecable. But, most importantly, she was loved by those who knew her and that's the best tribute of all. I am a better person for having known her. God bless you, Doris, as you continue your life with God.
