Donna Marie Larsen

Donna Marie (nee Leary) Larsen of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away after battling brain cancer, on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the age of 54. She was born on June 30, 1963, to Joseph and Ruth Ann Leary.

Donna received a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She worked in the pharmaceutical industry since graduating. She was active in the School of Pharmacy Alumni Association.

Donna was married in Madison, Wisconsin, on August 13, 1994, to Douglas Larsen. She was blessed with two children, Joseph and Julianna Larsen. She was a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Appleton. Donna was engaged in her children’s school and sports activities. She continued to be active even after her diagnosis.

Donna was an energetic volunteer in her community. She was well known for planning wonderful events. Donna made friends wherever she went. She could be counted on to bring a unique gift to any gathering. She loved spending time with her family and friends enjoying a glass of wine or beer, traveling, reading, and avidly watching the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Donna is survived by: husband, Douglas; two children, Joseph and Julianna; parents, Joseph and Ruth Ann Leary of Greendale; brother, Daniel Leary of Greendale; and a number of in-laws, a niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins; along with numerous friends.

The Funeral Liturgy for Donna will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at ST. JOSEPH PARISH, 404 West Lawrence St., Appleton, with Fr. Jim Leary, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton from 4:00 p.m. until the prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and again at CHURCH on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
