Donald Martin Van Nuland

Donald M. Van Nuland, age 53, beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at his home in Kimberly.

Don was born on November 2, 1958 in Appleton, son of the late Marty and Nelly (Cops) Van Nuland. Don grew up in the Appleton area and graduated from Lawrence University. He worked for many years for Menasha Corporation, living in St. Louis and Fort Wayne, IN, before transferring back to the Appleton area. Throughout his career, he also worked for Eagle Supply and Plastics Corp., and more recently did independent consulting for several firms. Don was an extraordinary person, and touched the lives of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed, but his presence will be felt for a lifetime.

Don is survived by his two daughters, Danielle Van Nuland and Anna Van Nuland; his brother, Michael (Sue) Van Nuland; his sister, Sue (Mark) Waltman; his niece, Melissa Van Nuland; his nephew, Matthew Van Nuland; a special friend, Debbie Pierre; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He is also survived by his former wife, Laura Denton. He was a longtime friend of Bill W. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marty and Nelly Van Nuland.

A Mass of Christial Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at ST. PAUL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace St., Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely officiating. Friends may call on Saturday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Interment at Holy Spirit Cemetery, Kimberly, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Don's name may be made to a fund that has been established.
