Donald H. Jacques

Don Jacques, age 75, regained his independence on July 4, 2012, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He died peacefully with his family at his side. Don was born in Green Bay on May 24, 1937, son of the late Fredric and Kathryn (Ahrens) Jacques. Don was a 1955 graduate of the Kaukauna High School, and married the former Judith Schuler on September 27, 1958 in Little Chute. Don served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves and for nearly forty years was employed by Appleton Papers – Locks Mill. Throughout his life, he was a member of the Kaukauna Lions Club, Little Chute Jaycees, and the Holy Cross Athletic Association. Don loved golfing, fishing, and swimming, but his pride and joy was wife, children, and grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Judy Jacques of Kaukauna; five children: Julie (Gene) Fiestadt of Kaukauna; Lynn (Roger) Figurin of Rockford, Illinois; Katie (Dan) Ball of Kaukauna; Fred (Betty) Jacques of Menasha; and Jenny (Mike) Banaszynksi of Kaukauna; fourteen grandchildren: Leah (Mark) Pucci, Andrea and Derek Fiestadt, Erica and Adam Figurin, Dustin Fassbender, Alex, Riley, and Taylor Ball, Sydney and Lindsey Jacques, and Braeden, Bryce, and Addison Banaszynski; a sister: Jacqueline Van Abel of Kimberly; a brother: Lee (Sue) Jacques of San Diego; a sister-in-law: Sheela (Art) Arnold of Janesville; and a brother-in-law: Tom (Jo Anne) Schuler of Darboy. Don was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dale (Shirley) Jacques, a brother-in-law Tom Van Abel, and his in-laws Earl and Lucille Schuler.

The funeral liturgy for Don will be held at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 3:00 PM until the time of the mass. Online condolences may be offered at www.wichmannfargo.com.
