My students and I will be in Washington D.C. next week. We will be stopping at the Marine Memorial there. I will say a prayer at the Memorial for all of Mr. Wallis' loved ones and comrades in their time of loss. I will stand in silence to honor this heroic Marine who served all of us. May God bless you and comfort you at this difficult time. Carrie

Dear Wallis' Sorry to hear of Don's passing. I remember him as having that big grin. It's sad I didn't know his past. I would have liked for him to share it. I have fond early memories of you neighbors when the Dorsey's moved to Appleton back in 1974. Does Donna still remember the words to that Frank Zappa song? Hope you're all coping ok. Best wishes. Love, John

Don was a great uncle, always quick to share a laugh or tell a story about his time in the Marine Corps, his bowling scores with Pam (win or loose)or the benefits of waxing the furnace in the basement.

Grandpa Wallis was always a delight to be around. I remember how kindhearted and understanding he was whenever we spoke, and how he tried to bring a lighthearted mood to his interactions with others. There was a kind of inner life and energy about him that I always found refreshing. I will miss him, and treasure all the memories of the times I spent with him. May God bless and encourage those closest to him, to know the peace that only our Lord can bring.
