LOPAS, DOLORES I.

Dolores Lopas, of Menasha, age 80 years, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Appleton Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1926 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Henrietta (Micke) Mischler. Dolores was employed in the deli at the Piggly Wiggly, Menasha and retired at the age of 80 years. She raised her four children and enjoyed making quilts and blankets for her family members. Dolores was an avid collector of hats and pins. She was an active member of the Fox Valley Rainbow Club.

She is survived by her children: Robert (Julie) Lopas, Oshkosh; Steve “Pete” Lopas, Menasha and Christine Lopas, Appleton; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Dolores is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lopas, her son, James A. “Chuck” Lopas and sister, Ceil Ryba.

The funeral service for Dolores will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
