Dicky Heider

Dicky Heider, age 55, passed away at a Madison hospital on Wednesday evening, November 9, 2011. He was born in Marinette on May 20, 1956, son of the late Eugene Heider and Mary Jane (Schultz) who currently resides in Appleton. Dicky met Linda Ford when they were teenagers, and the sweethearts married in 1977. For over thirty years, Dicky was employed by the Neenah Foundry, retiring in 2009. When he was able, Dicky enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Heider; his son: D.J. Heider; his mother: Mary Jane Owens, all of Appleton; two brothers: Jack (Sue) Heider of Wallace, Michigan, and Jay Heider of Menominee, Michigan; and two sisters: Toni Gray of Marinette and Gloria (Luther) Ashauer of Clintonville. Dicky was preceded in death by his father, a daughter Michelle in 2010, and a sister Donna Gray.

A memorial will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street in Appleton. Rev. Tim Albrecht will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

Dicky loved his family and was a well-liked by everyone. He will truly be missed.
