Dennis James Roberts, age 91, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011. He was born in Cambria, WI on July 10, 1919 the son of the late Thomas W. and Mary E. (Hughes) Roberts.

Dennis is survived by his children: Pam (Gary Worry) Darling of Appleton, Jane Roberts of Wittenberg, Tom Roberts of Appleton, Ron (Betty) Roberts of Appleton, John (Mary) Roberts of Madison, Keith (Marilyn) Crawford-Roberts of Doylestown, PA; Kay Roberts of Appleton; grandchildren: Steve, Kelley (Todd), Sara and fiancé Matt, Creed (Kara), Lindsay, Mary, Ann, Tom and great-grandchildren: Larissa, Macy, Dane, Maelee and Liam. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Katherine; and his son, Jim.

Dennis served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He retired from the Appleton School District having taught math at James Madison Junior High School. In retirement, Dennis and Katherine traveled and spent winters in Florida. Dennis enjoyed football, played golf, and was very proud of his Welsh heritage.

A private family service will be held. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
