LTC Jay R Greeley US Army Retired St Norbert College '73 left a message on June 15, 2016:
To a great American, we served our Nation together, and no matter where I was he was not only a brother in Arms he was mentor. If we linked up during AT at Ft Hood, we watched out for each other. His daughter was at fort Sam Nurse/school and I called him and asked if he needed a spot report. I went to the school and looked in on their command. I was with Fifth Army HQs and said that I was following up on NCO request to see how she was doing. Sometimes being a Major and 6'4'' it was easy to get answers. The DI's were amazed at her bearing, her boots were shined, seem knew the rules, and taught the other students. She was the All Star for the unit. Wow, I did not let out the beans on fact that Her Dad was like an Uncle to us. He helped me as an ROTC student and gave me the pointers. After 33yr carreer we had defend this country. I will miss him and pray for him and his family. Keep this Soldier in your prayers. He was a great teacher, father, and key assest to the Army Reserve. We shall miss him and his teachings go on so pass it on and keep the Faith.

To the Klapper family, I extend my belated condolence. If you can imagine the time when Dennis will be resurrected back to life on earth where there will be no more old age, sickness or having to worry about dying again, then you have a glimpse of what life will be like under God's Kingdom that we pray for when saying the "Lord's Prayer." To verify this promise in your Bible, read Isaiah twenty-six nineteen, Job thirty-three twenty-five, Isaiah thirty-three twenty-four, Isaiah twenty-five eight and Matthew six ten. We can put our faith and confidence in these promises because we know God does not lie as stated at Numbers twenty-three nineteen.

I extend my belated condolence for the loss of your loved one. As a Minister, I wanted to share a message of hope found in the Bible at Acts 24:15, where we find God’s promise "there will be a resurrection". This will happen when God's Kingdom rules this earth as it does in heaven, Matthew 6:10. As you reminisce about the good times you had with your beloved, continue to pray for God's Kingdom, or government, to come to this earth where you will then be able to hug your loved one forever. The Klapper family has my sincere condolences. I am saddened by Dennis' passing. I was in the Army Reserves with Dennis. I always had so much fun with him at the meetings, and outside of our meetings in the Army Reserve. I always remember Dennis telling me to draw deep drinks of water from the bubbler, that it was healthier for me. He was always upbeat and with that great smile of his, we knew we were going to have fun. R.I.P. Dennis!!!
